When someone misbehaves, makes themselves small or makes decisions that harm themselves or others, this happens for certain reasons. Reasons that often have to do with unresolved trauma from an earlier stage of life.
So when we see a person behaving in a way that seems to contradict a happy, fulfilled life, or when they refuse to be involved in the community, we often see not a person with a difficult personality, but trauma.
Neither punishment nor behavioural therapy will remove the cause. Trauma remains until it is received and understood with warmth and understanding. When this is the case, healing takes place naturally and the person experiences liberation from what has been limiting them.
Working through trauma for people who can function in everyday life is no longer just a field for psychotherapists. With the skills of Resonant Healing, we have a grassroots approach to trauma healing that can be learned and applied in supportive 1:1 conversations.
In this workshop with BusinessByHeart, participants will learn basic coaching skills fertilised with simple but effective methods of working with emotional trauma.
This workshop provides participants with enough theory about psychotraumatology and its dialogical applications to continue their practice at home and develop their experience to the point where they can mediate healing through dialogue.
The starting point is to become aware of their own blind patterns when they are in the supporting role and through self-awareness to grow into an open presence with the person they are supporting. Coaching skills support participants as they practice with each other and gradually build their competences, so the seminar starts with basic coaching skills.
